My name is Nidhi and was born on Sep 13, 2001. I went to Hope Montessori during my toddler and pre-school days. My muthacha used to take me back from school and it was so fun walking with him. This summer I am going to Miss.Hetal's school and I love being there with my new friends Nupur, Riya, Kushali, Sanavi, Anjali and Anu. After the summer I will go to Kindergarten. |

My favorite outdoor pastime is playing on the slides. We have a park nearby and I enjoy going there. I love coloring too. I have a lot of friends here in Colorado Springs. They include Keshu, Anupriya Chechy, Appu, Nikil, Achu Chetta, Arjun, Neha Chechy, Kuhu Didi, Tia Didi, Jaina Didi and Arushi Didi. Some of them are older than me, but still I like to play with them. My best friend Tuttu lives in Denver and so don't get to meet her often. |

My sister Ratna just turned one this year. Now she plays with me. I am still waiting for her to grow so that she can play with puzzles and memory games. Now she grabs everything I take and I don’t like that sometimes. But it is alright, she is my little sister. She comes running to me when I ask her for a hug. I love to carry her around and she loves talking “Mandarin” (as Rajeev uncle says) over the phone. |

I miss my Muthacha, Ammamma, and Achamma who are in India. My cousin Nandana is 2 years old and is naughty. My other cousins Jini, Malu and Madhumitha are my friends too. I also like playing with Vishnu, Sreekuttettan, Ajeeshettan, Achu Chechy and Greeshma Chechy. I love staying in India, but the problem is I need Achan, Amma and Ratna also with me. |

I like to put “Mayilanchi” (Mehandi) on my hands. Sugi Achol, Radhu Achol and Vava Achol used to help me when we went to India last time. During our trip we also had a get-together in Nelliyampathi. There we had a lot of fun games and all of us won prizes. I also got a chance to meet all our relatives. I and Ratna wanted Smithesh mama to carry us both at the same time; no doubt we gave him a hard time. |

Shabeena memi was my baby sitter when I was small. She used to dress me up and look after me very well. They (Ajmal maama and Memi) are now in Minneapolis and I miss them a lot. Recently they visited us with their small baby Sual. Babitha Aunty and Bipin mama visit us from Denver and I like to play with them too. |

| I go to Sourabh uncle for my keyboard and to Rema Aunty for my music lessons. I love dancing too. This year I will be participating in the Colorado Springs Diwali program. |
